 Koh Snaeng is a commune located in the North of Stung Treng town with total land area of 21,600 hectares and the population of 2,749 (1,297 women) equals to 586 HHs (28 HHs are female headed household, commune profile in 2015)
 Koh Snaeng commune comprises of 04 villages including Koh Snaeng, Koh Srorlao, Koh Kei, Choam Thom villages.
 Koh Snaeng village is located on an island about 35 km from Stung Treng town. It takes around one hour and a half travelling by boat to reach this island or it takes around one 30mn travelling by motorbike/car (the road condition is poor) and takes around 20mns boat trip across Mekong river to Koh Snaeng village.
